General Overview		A Career Starfleet Officer, Alex will focus on his duties always. In Command positions remains very fair and reasonable with subordinates. A solid taskmaster and demands to be on schedule. Not one to Micro-Manage any situation unless a safety issue or disaster looms closeby. A quick thinker and a quick wit, but never a practical joker.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Alex has many solid years of ship repairs and design under his belt. Able to access battle damage very quickly and form a repair schedule. Able to assemble skilled Engineers quickly to a plan. No Motivation for social affairs or gatherings and usually refuse to attend. He drinks alone, and has for the last Twenty years.
Ambitions		His career seems to be at a pinnacle. He realizes this very well could be his last assignment with Starfleet. Alex hasn't put much thought to what might lay ahead of that. He has been offered several Board level positions with Starfleet Contractors. Perhaps a direction to move to.
Hobbies & Interests		Off duty he will be found working out or in some type of physical training. Alex enjoys study of Genetic Metallurgy. The discovery of new materials of which he holds several federation Patents. He also enjoys distilling.

Personal History

The Third son of a Federation Scientist. However Alex abandoned Science for Engineering. His Two older siblings remained in the civilian world as he was accepted to Starfleet Academy at Seventeen. He was an accomplished cadet and a leader in Physics and Logic courses. During his years he was a Preferred Tutor to many in math and frame construction. His skill at synthetic compounds was amazing and detailed to a level many thought was not possible. He published several papers on how different structures behave in severe environments.

Alex spent his Senior Cadet year moving from one Shipyard to another observing there building process. The calendar was brutal and required Alex to assess many hazardous sites to determine damage and repair functions. The experience gained was enormous. Alex was granted a four year leave of absence to attend additional education and earned his PhD in Spatial and Organic Chemistry before returning to Starfleet active duty. His first assignment was the Romulan Neutral Zone conducting field battle repair and major vessels damaged in combat. His career was very hectic and left little time for anything else but the occasional relationship and a few sort vacations.

While on a long term position at a established Repair yard Alex then a Commander received his propulsion certification and was turned lose on the largest Drives ever designed for Starfleet vessels. This experience helped his career path to full Captain and Senior Engineer of research and development. During a leave of Absence to attain design knowledge he was asked if he would be interested in assisting with a new Shipyard...
